As you might know Tinos is the place where the most members of my entire family are originated from. My family's village is Pirgos on the northern part of the island, but we own a house in the small port of Pirgos in Panormos Bay. Panormos Port is one of the most beautiful places of Tinos and it is worth being visited as well as Pirgos is.

In the last two pictures there are detailed views from Panormos. The photos were taken in the area of the small pier of the village's harbour.

Aspect from Panormos Bay Another air view of Panormos Panormos Bay contains three sand beaches: Stafida (very close to the village) which is depicted in the first photograph, Agia Thalassa and Kavalurko, which was once awarded with the "Golden Starfish" Prize. There are also two other beaches covered by pebbles, Volia and one on the small island of Planitis (next photo).
Planitis is an almost rocky island with a dilapidated lighthouse on its summit. It is joined with Kavalurko beach by small rocks, which form small narrows, called Diapori connecting the bay with the open sea (Aegean Sea). You can see this peace of scenery in the photograph next to this text. On Planitis there used to be a marble mine, but nowadays one can meet only wild rabbits instead of miners.
In the second photo of Planitis, you can see a magnificent aspect of the sky with a flying kite ( Photo Source ).

In this photo you can see our house at the entrance of Panormos. Just in the rear of the house there is a small lagoon. It is actually a biotope including wild ducks, turtles, various kinds of fish and even eels. My house is a type of detached house and the residence next to ours belongs to my Uncle Artemis, my father's only brother. My home!
Prophet Helias Peak
In the photo you can easily make out the traditional church and Panormos Bay in the background.
The Prophitis Helias (Prophet Elijah) mountain is the largest mountain on the northwest part of Tinos. On its peak one is able to see Andros Island and the greatest part of Exomeria (the name of the north-western part of the island). The look of the sunset from up there is a magnificent experience! The little church is very graphic and in a quite good condition as a festival takes place there every summer.
This photo was taken from a place near the peak of Prophitis Helias during the sunset. It is more than fantastic, isn't it? Wow!!!
Twin Peaks Staring at the sky... These two photographs were taken during one excursion on Prophet Helias. In the left one you can see me and my twin brother on the second peak of the mountain. The right picture was taken on the highest spot of the mountain. Myself is posing just in front of the milestone and opposite the marble Holy Cross.
